Projects

When this is all said and done, I will be DIY-ing our programs, welcome brochures, custom kids coloring books, Jones soda bottle labels, bridesmaid hangers, bridesmaid earrings, reception decor, welcome bags, and our cupcake stand.  But for now, this is all that is 100% finished...

Aisle Runner

I hand painted an aisle runner that I got 40% off at Joann's.  All you have to do is use Word to print the text the size/font you want, then tape the pages in place on a poster board, then tape the runner on top and trace with fabric paint markers.  The painting took WAY longer than I expected, and if I had to go back I probably wouldn't do it again,  but oh well, its done now.

Personalized Hanger

This was much harder to do than I thought, so I don't think I will be making them for my BM's. But at least I have one for my dress!

Flower Girl Pails

I went through several different prototypes for my FG baskets, but had lots of problems finding 4 identical baskets that were not too big, too small, too "country", too "frilly" or too damn expensive.  I finally ended up with these cute little tin buckets that I spray painted and made the handles out of beaded wire.

Flower Girl Accessories

I made hair flower clips using silk gardenias and pearls/rhinestones, pearl bracelets with their initials, and after a failed search to find the right shade of green to add to their dresses, I made them green fabric roses that will pin on to their sashes.

Kids Coloring Books

We will have 12 little kids at our wedding, as since we are parents ourselves, keeping kids happy is a priority for us. Since we didn't have money to buy a lot of stuff, we made coloring books for them.  They each have their own name on the cover, and inside are coloring pages I found online.  They will be getting crayons, candy and bubbles as well.
